What We Support
Founded in 1922, the El Segundo Woman’s Club celebrates over 100 years of service to the community. A member of the California Federation of Women’s Clubs and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, the organization collaborates to support the communities in which we live and work, as well as national and international projects. The Club enthusiastically welcomes anyone interested in serving and eager to volunteer to help those in need throughout the community. Together we make a difference!
Education
“Happiness is seeing the smile on a child’s face as they learn”
Since the Club’s inception in 1922, supporting education has been a primary focus of our fundraising efforts. Have you purchased Cascaroni’s “Confetti Eggs” at the El Segundo 4th of July celebration? Members work all year to create the colorful eggs, and the proceeds support El Segundo High School scholarships for graduating seniors. The members fundraise for other education programs, including the El Segundo High School Choir, the South Bay Literacy Council, and the El Segundo Summer Library Reading Program.
Community

The Club has supported the El Segundo community for over 100 years, with a lasting legacy of philanthropy.
Woman’s Club members actively volunteer at events such as the El Segundo Car Show, Chamber of Commerce functions, Mychal’s Learning Place, SPCA, C.A.S.E., and the Holiday Parade. Members are a familiar sight at these gatherings.
The historic clubhouse serves as an ideal venue for community events. We host local candidate forums to encourage civic participation.
Environment, Military, and Humanitarian Relief
The Club has supported a wide range of environmental causes, including Red Cross hurricane relief, California Park Services, the Blue Butterfly Conservancy, The Nature Conservancy, wildfire relief, and WaterStep. Its animal welfare contributions have supported the Pasadena Humane Society’s fire relief efforts, Paws 4 Purple Hearts, and ongoing SPCA programs. Each year, the Club also donates to international charities such as UNICEF, Doctors Without Borders, Shot@Life, the Red Cross, and Habitat for Humanity.
Members have also honored a WWII Honor Flight recipient with letters, sewn masks for El Segundo first responders during COVID, made quilts for wounded warriors, packed boxes for Operation Gratitude, and supported Wounded Warriors and Warrior Family Warehouse at Camp Pendleton.
Arts & Music

The El Segundo Woman’s Club has a long history of supporting the arts and arts education, and that tradition continues. We have supported the Marina District Music and Art Funds and sponsored a local student for the Marina District Music Competition. The Club has also provided support for the El Segundo Concert Band.
Family & Youth Support
The Club supports local shelters and organizations that serve people affected by domestic violence, child abuse, the challenges of single motherhood, and the transition out of foster care.
Members assembled toiletry kits for the Single Mom Project at Richstone Family Center and sponsored an art workshop for children there. The Club also continues to support A Sense of Home, which helps youth leaving foster care move into their first fully furnished apartments. Through donations of kitchen, décor, and bathroom kits, the Club helps make these apartments comfortable and welcoming. Ongoing donations to the C.A.S.E. food bank support the organization’s efforts to improve food sustainability in our community.
