What We Support
Founded in 1922, the El Segundo Woman’s Club celebrates over 100 years of service to the community. A member of the California Federation of Women’s Clubs and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, the organization collaborates to support the communities in which we live and work, as well as national and international projects. The Club enthusiastically welcomes anyone interested in serving and eager to volunteer to help those in need throughout the community. Together we make a difference!
Education
“Happiness is seeing the smile on a child’s face as they learn”
Since the Club’s inception in 1922, supporting education has been a primary focus of our fundraising efforts. Have you purchased Cascaroni’s “Confetti Eggs” at the El Segundo 4th of July celebration? Members work all year to create the colorful eggs, and the proceeds support El Segundo High School scholarships for graduating seniors. The members fundraise for other education programs, including the El Segundo High School Choir, the South Bay Literacy Council, and the El Segundo Summer Library Reading Program.

Community
"The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members." – Coretta Scott King
The Club has supported the El Segundo community for over 100 years, with a lasting legacy of philanthropy.
Woman’s Club members actively volunteer at events such as the El Segundo Car Show, Chamber of Commerce functions, Mychal’s Learning Place, SPCA, C.A.S.E., and the Holiday Parade. Members are a familiar sight at these gatherings.
The historic clubhouse serves as an ideal venue for community events. We host local candidate forums to encourage civic participation.
Environment, Military, and Humanitarian Relief
The Club has supported environmental causes, including Red Cross hurricane relief, California Park Services, the Blue Butterfly Conservancy, The Nature Conservancy, Wildfire Relief, and WaterStep. Animal welfare support has included the Pasadena Humane Society for fire relief and Paws 4 Purple Hearts, as well as ongoing support for the SPCA.
Over the years, members have written letters to honor a WWII Honor Flight honoree, made masks during COVID for El Segundo's first responders, cut coupons for deployed military through the Coupons for the Military program, created quilts for wounded warriors, filled boxes for Operation Gratitude, and supported Wounded Warriors and Warrior Family Warehouse at Camp Pendleton.

Arts & Music
“I try to apply colors like words that shape poems, like notes that shape music.” – Joan Miro
The El Segundo Woman’s Club has a long history of supporting the arts and arts education, and that tradition continues. We have supported the Marina District Music and Art Funds and sponsored a local student for the Marina District Music Competition. The Club has also provided support for the El Segundo Concert Band.
International
The Club annually supports several international charities including UNICEF, Doctors without Borders, Shot@Life, The Red Cross, and Habitat for Humanity.
